The ZEISS trinocular head provides sharp, high-contrast images with excellent three-dimensional perception, while the Motic GM base allows observation using darkfield illumination and daylight-equivalent illumination, both essential for professional gemological analysis.

The trinocular configuration also allows the connection of a C-mount camera for photographing, documenting and archiving observations.

Description

ZEISS Stemi 355 Trino, professional stereomicroscope featuring a Greenough optical system and a continuous 5.5:1 zoom ratio.

With 10× eyepieces, it provides a magnification range from 7.2× to 40×, while maintaining a generous 110 mm working distance, particularly useful when handling and examining gemstones.

ZEISS optics are designed to deliver sharp, high-contrast images with reduced distortion, allowing precise observation of inclusions, fractures, growth features and other diagnostic characteristics.

The Trino version features a dedicated port for digital documentation, equipped with a 0.5× C-mount adapter, allowing a compatible camera to be connected while maintaining observation through the eyepieces.

The ZEISS optical head is combined with the professional Motic GM base, specifically developed for gemological applications. The system allows observation using brightfield and darkfield illumination, with adjustable transmitted light and an iris diaphragm for precise control of the light beam.

An adjustable incident light source is also included, useful for surface observation and for adapting the illumination to the different characteristics of each gemstone.

The ability to tilt and rotate the microscope structure provides greater comfort even during extended analysis sessions.
